Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero is an American actress singer and former model. She's best known for her part in Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain as well as being the singer-in-chief of Apollonia 6, a girl group. The group was just one of the female artists that benefited of Prince's involvement throughout the 1980s. Patricia Kotero is a Californian actress, born in the city of Santa Monica in 1959. Apollonia6 split, Kotero did not continue her relationship with Prince. She appeared in several minor film projects during this time however, she was not able to appear involved in the Purple Rain sequel Under the Cherry Moon. In 1985-1986 she got a role in the drama series for evenings Falcon Crest. Apollonia was the first artist to release her album in 1988. However, it was a fairly pedestrian mix of dance and R&B music which did not draw attention from the people. It quickly vanished out of sight. In the years that followed her career was a full-time actress with minor film roles and small TV shows. Apollonia's Stay With Me album was released in 1997. She later returned to school received a degree in filmmaking, and formed her own production company, often working on the field of children's TV. Apollonia has many hats. She's worked as a model, singer-actress and talent manager. Purple Rain, the 1984 film in which she appeared was her most well-known performance. Some other films and television shows she was in included Black Magic Woman and The Divorce Ceremony. Kotero debuted her career as a model. Kotero was a participant in a variety of pageants.
