Awkwafina

Awkwafina began as an American performer and rapper, making sly songs that addressed questions of race and sexuality with a humorous twist. Before expanding into Hollywood her career, she was able to make a few songs. Nora Lum began her musical career as a musician on the trumpet. Her birthplace was Forest Hills Queens, she was a child of Chinese immigrants and Korean immigrants. Later, she began the classical and hip-hop genres. While in college, she focused on her studies. She majored both in women's study and journalism. While she was for a brief amount of time, in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also offered. It wasn't until she graduated that she begin to concentrate on music. In 2012, My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an internet hit and was included on her debut album Yellow Ranger. It also included other hit songs that went viral, such as the body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC Bitche$. The second track linked into Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, published in 2015, which was a different initiative. The singer decided to make acting as a profession following the completion of her previous two ventures as a musician and author. Alongside early shows such as Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films like Neighbors as well as Storks. Her breakout roles included Dude Ocean's 8 along with Crazy Rich Asians. Then in June, she launched the EP In Fina We Trust.
